The Piper PA-18 Super Cub is a single-engine, single-seat aircraft. It was developed from the Piper PA-11. In almost 40 years of production, over 9,000 have been built. The Super Cub is commonly found in applications such as bush flying, banner towing and glider towing.
The 1700mm PA-18 FMS was launched in 2019 and its stability, ease of handling and usability characteristics have surprised and impressed new and old pilots alike. The 1300 mm PA-18 still adopts a two-panel wing as well as the horizontal stabiliser, but at the same time the fuselage is designed in two parts, which makes it much easier to store and transport. It can be hidden in a corner of the car, ready to be used at any time.
Thanks to the functional flaps, a very load-bearing wing profile, rustic and robust undercarriage, and oversized rubber tyres, the 1300mm PA-18 Super Cub offers impressive short take-off and landing (STOL) characteristics, allowing it to be operated from virtually any terrain.
In addition, the PA-18 1300mm's assembly steps remain simple and convenient, with only a few screws required for assembly or disassembly.
For pilots seeking the true Bush Flying experience, the PA-18 Super Cub can be fitted with floats.
